Dr. Sham Pagar is a distinguished Consultant Nephrologist and Transplant Physician at Kare Renascence Hospital, Nashik. With an exceptional educational background, extensive clinical experience, and remarkable achievements, Dr. Pagar has established himself as a leader in the field of nephrology. His dedication to patient care and advancements in kidney disease management make him a trusted expert in the region. Dr. Pagar has undergone rigorous medical training from some of the most prestigious institutions in India. He pursued a Fellowship in Nephrology at Topiwala National Medical College and BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai, affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. He further specialized in internal medicine by completing his M.D. (Medicine) at BYL Nair Hospital, a renowned medical center known for academic excellence and advanced research. His medical journey began with an M.B.B.S. degree from Medical College, Nashik, which laid a strong foundation for his career in nephrology and transplant medicine. With vast experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of kidney disorders, Dr. Pagar specializes in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), Glomerular Diseases, Dialysis (Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis), Kidney Transplantation and Post-Transplant Care, as well as Hypertension and Diabetic Kidney Disease. His patient-centric approach ensures early diagnosis, effective treatment, and holistic management. Dr. Pagar’s contributions to nephrology and transplant medicine are significant. He has successfully performed over 100 kidney transplants, transforming the lives of many patients. He supervises more than 2000 dialysis procedures annually, ensuring optimal renal care for those with kidney failure. His diagnostic proficiency is evident in conducting over 200 kidney biopsies annually, aiding in accurate assessment and treatment. A true pioneer, Dr. Pagar conducted the first-ever cadaver kidney transplant in North Maharashtra, a milestone that has paved the way for improved organ donation and transplant programs in the region.
